The company was founded in 1969 in Barcelona (Spain) and has specialised in acoustics since its inception. We manufacture acoustic equipment and instruments and are renowned for our sound level meters and condenser microphones. We also have our own Research & Development department and numerous patents. All of our products are marketed under the CESVA trademark and are developed and manufactured at our own plant. Our highly qualified production staff have many years of experience in the assembly of electronic systems, both digital and analogue. We sit on several committees, both Spanish and International, for the creation and revision of regulations and standards.
We have participated - with great success - in several European projects, thereby substantially increasing our experience. From our humble beginnings, we have maintained close-ties with various universities, where a mutually beneficial relationship has developed. This has led to a series of joint projects, lectures, student training contracts and various other ventures. We want the future to sound great. We hope to achieve this by offering quality instruments to sound professionals, to enable them to perform measurement & assessment of noise & vibration in the most efficient way possible. We want to help them achieve this whilst meeting & surpassing the technical levels required by the regulations of wherever they are used.
One of our strongest priorities has been constant investment in Research and Development (R&D); as a result of which, we now have an R&D department that employs engineers specialising in a wide range of fields, including acoustics, mechanics, electronics and information technology.
Thanks to this sustained investment in R&D, we have managed to patent several systems of acoustic instruments, making our firm a pioneer & innovator within the sector. Our activities are centred mainly on the development and manufacturing of precision microphones and acoustic instruments.
Complementary to these tasks is the design of software applications for all our instruments, which makes them much more powerful and competitive on the international market. One field which has come very much to the forefront of agendas in recent years is noise control, into which we have launched a range of products based on our experience in sound level measurement and guaranteed by the 30+ years we have devoted to acoustics and to the provision of integral solutions for problems in the field.
Thanks to an agile and efficient distribution network, CESVA products are currently present in more than 40 countries around the world.
All this, together with an appropriate commercial strategy, has led our range of products to become one of the reference brands when it comes to instrumentation for precision acoustic measurements.

We are members of AMETIC (Association of electronics companies, information technology, telecommunications and digital content) and the ECOTIC Foundation (who manage the collection & recycling of electrical goods & components). Respect for the environment is a key factor in achieving our goals, particularly as this pertains to a field closely related to our business: noise pollution.
We operate responsibly in order to respond to the needs of our customers, always striving to minimize the negative environmental impacts that may arise from our operations.
We are also a company joined to ECOEMEBES, a non-profit organization that takes care of the environment through the recycling of packaging in Spain, making it possible for plastic packaging and cardboard packaging to have a second life.
