Internoise 2010 in Lisbon was the setting chosen by CESVA to present their latest instruments for the measurement of noise and vibration. During the past year CESVA has been developing new products with the aim of providing solutions to the new needs of the modern market.
Over 1,000 people actively participated in the technical exhibition, where CESVA presented the following innovations:
•Triaxial Vibrometer VC431: An instrument for the measurement of vibration in the work place (hand, arm and whole body). Its user-friendly design includes: simple menu structure and easily identifiable icons, single measurement range, simultaneous measurement of all parameters and minimum initial setting time.
•CESVA Risk Manager (CRM): Software for total management of protection and risk prevention for workers’ exposure to noise in accordance with ISO 9612: Assessment by strategies (tasks, job, working day), automatic calculation of UNCERTAINTIES, assessment with and without PPE (hearing protectors), specific reports in accordance with ISO 9612, and for Spain, Portugal and France, and simulator of technical and organisational measures.
•Noise Surveillance Network (NSN): Consists of a network of environmental noise monitoring terminals; TA024, which enables noise levels of towns, infrastructures or activities to be monitored. The TA024 terminals measure noise levels (1/3 octave up to 125 ms) and record the audio signal in mp3. This data is automatically sent to a secure server via 3G technology. There it is stored and available for download. NSN sends a daily summary of the most significant noise events by e-mail, to save time in the analysis of the data.
NSN enables noise problems to be discovered and analysed, and is the ideal tool to measure objectively the evolution of plans of action to reduce levels of noise pollution, and assess in real time, appropriate courses of action to improve comfort.
•SC101 (class 1) and SC102 (class 2) Sound Level Meters: ÉsThe first SLMs on the market with measurement protocols: step by step guide through the measurement process and automatic checks and calculations in accordance with the regulations, until the final result is obtained. It is economic and intuitive, and ideal for any kind of inspection. It has measurement protocols for: vehicle noise, leisure and community noise, workers’ exposure to noise, machine noise and sound power.
CESVA continue to work on developing new products, and are already preparing their presentations for the 41st National Acoustics Congress–TECNIACÚSTICA® 2010 which will be held in Leon from 13th to 15th October.
